Friday 12 February 2027 at Teatro Cilea

Rondò Veneziano plays the Teatro Francesco Cilea in Reggio Calabria on Friday 12 February 2027 at 9pm. The evening is part of «The Grand Return – World Tour 2026/2027», the tour that marks the group's return to live performance.

Postponed from 28 November 2026: tickets remain valid

The concert was originally scheduled for Saturday 28 November 2026, also at the Teatro Cilea. Through a notice published by TicketOne on behalf of the organiser, it was moved to Friday 12 February 2027 at 9pm.

Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date and give admission without any exchange. Refund terms are those published by TicketOne when the postponement was announced.

The Grand Return: Rondò Veneziano back on stage

According to the official website, the tour opened on 12 July 2026 at the Lazzaretto in Bergamo. That evening, alongside the new line-up, founder Gian Piero Reverberi also took the stage and performed some of the best-known pieces in the repertoire. On 4 August 2026 the group played the Roman Theatre of Carthage, in Tunisia, at the Festival International de Carthage, again with Reverberi conducting.

The artistic and musical direction of this new phase is entrusted to Stefano Marchioro, a long-time collaborator of Reverberi, pianist and conductor. Reverberi's presence has not been announced for the Reggio date.

Venetian Baroque and pop sounds: what the group plays

Rondò Veneziano was officially founded in 1980 from an idea of record producer Freddy Naggiar and maestro Gian Piero Reverberi, a composer, arranger, conductor and pianist. The repertoire consists of original compositions by Reverberi, inspired mainly by the Venetian Baroque, played on traditional instruments with a modern sound: «yesterday's music with today's technology», as the group puts it.

The records came before the concerts: according to the official website, touring only began in 1991, more than ten years after the project was born. The Reggio concert features Reverberi's original compositions, in the style that blends Baroque and classical music with pop sounds.

Teatro Cilea and central Reggio

The Teatro Francesco Cilea is the city's municipal theatre, opened in 1931 and named after the composer born in Palmi. It stands on Corso Garibaldi, the main street of the historic centre, largely pedestrianised, facing Piazza Italia and Palazzo San Giorgio, the town hall; Reggio Calabria Centrale station is at the southern end of the Corso.

The concert falls on a Friday evening, and from the Corso the side streets lead down to the seafront: for dinner, see where to eat in Reggio Calabria. Other shows in town are listed in the events calendar.
