Norwegian indie-pop icons Kings of Convenience come to Calabria on Friday 31 July 2026 for Day 1 of "Concerts by the Lake", the Be Alternative Festival series set in one of the most evocative corners of the Sila plateau: the little Church of San Lorenzo, on the shores of Lake Cecita, in Camigliatello Silano. An unmissable night with the duo who define the intimate side of Nordic music, sharing the bill with Mogwai and more artists to be announced.
For over twenty years Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambæk Bøe, both born in Bergen, have embodied the most refined and delicate side of Scandinavian songwriting: gentle vocal harmonies, essential acoustic guitars and minimal melodies that have shaped a generation. From their global breakthrough Quiet Is the New Loud (2001) to Peace or Love, their songs — from Misread to I'd Rather Dance with You, from Mrs. Cold to Boat Behind — have won audiences worldwide, making them a true reference point of international indie folk.
The spellbinding acoustic set of Kings of Convenience meets the natural magic of Lake Cecita, in the heart of the Sila National Park, for a unique evening under the Calabrian mountain sky.
