When and where: Sunday 24 January 2027 at the Cilea
Marco Falaguasta brings “È intelligente... ma non studia!” to Teatro Francesco Cilea in Reggio Calabria on Sunday 24 January 2027 at 8:45 pm. The date and time are those given by Officina dell'Arte's official box office on Ciaotickets, by the season ticket page and by the season poster, where the show is listed as the fourth subscription title.
When the programme was presented in September, the announced date was Thursday 21 January: if you noted that down, the show is now on Sunday 24 January, the only date on sale. The running time has not been announced.
The show: school days, memories and songs
Written by Marco Falaguasta with A. Mancini, the show starts from a simple observation: those who were children have become parents, some who sat at school desks now stand behind the teacher's desk, and today everyone ends up teaching something. From there Falaguasta walks back through school from the very first day, with memories, absence notes to get signed, distractions and small classroom adventures.
The story mixes laughter and reflection on school as an experience everyone shares, and runs through the songs that marked those years. The show has been touring for a while: in April 2026, at Teatro San Babila in Milan, it was billed as a one-man show with DJ Alessandra Germani on stage. For the Reggio date the sources do not say who joins him. It is performed in Italian.
Who Marco Falaguasta is
Marco Falaguasta was born in Rome in 1970. A law graduate, he worked for several years as a criminal lawyer; in 1991 he founded the theatre company Bona la prima and has since written, directed and performed his own comedies, from “So tutto sulle donne” to “Neanche il tempo di piacersi”. He is artistic director of Teatro Testaccio in Rome.
Italian TV audiences know him from many drama series, among them “CentoVetrine”, where he played Michele Raggi from 2006 to 2008, “Il restauratore” alongside Lando Buzzanca, “Rimbocchiamoci le maniche” with Sabrina Ferilli and “Storia di una famiglia perbene”. Officina dell'Arte has staged his work before: its list of past shows includes “Neanche il tempo di piacersi”, from 2021.
The “Cambio Stagione” season by Officina dell'Arte
The show is part of “Cambio Stagione”, the 2026/2027 programme that Officina dell'Arte brings to Teatro Cilea under artistic director Peppe Piromalli: 14 dates, with 9 in the season ticket, 3 sold separately and 2 special events. At the launch Piromalli named a smile as the common thread of the season.
