Grand Fireworks Gala

From 29 September to 4 October 2026, Benestare will be hosting one of the most eagerly awaited weeks of the year with the Grand Gala Fireworks Festival, which forms part of the programme for the 17th edition of ‘Catoja in Festa’, the feast of St Michael the Archangel, the town’s patron saint, and the celebrations dedicated to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary. Three events mark the fireworks calendar, involving four master pyrotechnicians and transforming the village sky into an integral part of the festivities. It begins on 29 September at 8.30 pm with Planet Fire, followed at 10.30 pm by Di Candia’s display, dedicated to St Michael the Archangel.
Event details
On 2 October, at midnight, it will be Di Matteo’s turn, with a fireworks display forming part of the ‘Catoja in Festa’ programme. The grand finale takes place on 4 October at 10.30 pm with ‘La Grande Notte di Maria’, featuring three competing pyrotechnicians: Di Matteo, Foti and Russo.
