On 17 and 18 August 2026, the historic centre of Gerace will be transformed into a fascinating medieval stage for the historical re-enactment "Il Tocco". This event celebrates the reconciliation between Roger I, known as the Norman, and his brother Robert Guiscard, bringing to life the atmosphere and emotions of a distant era. For two days, among the ancient stones of one of Italy's most beautiful villages, you can immerse yourself in a world of knights and ladies, ancient crafts, fire shows, falconers, drums and combat. The streets of Gerace will once again resound with the sounds, colours and scents of the past, transforming into a true medieval court.

The programme concludes with the eagerly awaited historical procession and the grand finale: "Il Tocco, the Peace of Ruggero", an evocative moment that recalls the historic reconciliation between the two Norman brothers.
