From 15 November to 19 December 2026 the Cine Teatro Odeon in Reggio Calabria presents «Il Sentiero Incantato verso Natale», a season of four live shows leading the audience towards Christmas: Santo Palumbo's comedy «È tutta colpa di Cavour» (Sunday 15 November, 8.30pm), The Phantom of the Opera, combining musical theatre and ballet (Saturday 21 November, 8.30pm), the family musical Buon Natale Signor Scrugio (Sunday 13 December, 6.30pm) and a Christmas Gospel Concert (Saturday 19 December, 8.30pm). Rossini's Barber of Seville in narrated form, planned for Saturday 7 November, has been cancelled by the theatre.

Four events from November to December 2026

From 15 November to 19 December 2026 the Cine Teatro Odeon in Reggio Calabria presents «Il Sentiero Incantato verso Natale», a season designed to lead the audience towards the holidays through four live performances. It is not a single-theme programme: the path crosses different languages, from comedy to musical theatre, from ballet to Christmas classics and gospel music.

The programme announced in the autumn had five events. The first, Rossini's Barber of Seville in narrated form, was due on Saturday 7 November, but the theatre's calendar now lists it as cancelled.

Opening with Santo Palumbo's satire

The season opens on Sunday 15 November at 8.30pm with Santo Palumbo and «È tutta colpa di Cavour», a cabaret evening mixing satire, history and comedy, which the theatre presents as a brand-new format by the performer.

The programme continues on 21 November with The Phantom of the Opera, a Professione Danza production combining musical theatre and ballet, and on 13 December with Buon Natale Signor Scrugio, a musical inspired by Charles Dickens's «A Christmas Carol». These are the two evenings best suited to family audiences, and the closest to the imagery of the season.

Closing with gospel, and a charitable collection

Closing the programme on 19 December is the Christmas Gospel Concert, staged in collaboration with the Corona Gospel Choir. Part of the evening's takings goes to a charitable initiative: it is the only date in the season with this element, and also the one that closes the path just before Christmas.

A varied and accessible programme

The season is explicitly built to be accessible: families, young people, residents, visitors and theatre regulars each find at least one evening suited to them. The Cine Teatro Odeon is on Via Francesco Cananzi, in Reggio Calabria; in the same autumn the venue also hosts the Reggio in Jazz season.
