Wheat Festival in Pazzano

On 3 and 4 August 2026, Pazzano will host the Wheat Festival, two days dedicated to rural traditions, local flavours and the memory of the harvest. The event will kick off on 3 August at 6.00 pm with a re-enactment of the harvest, accompanied by the group “I Giganti di Taurianova”. From 8.00 pm, the food stalls will open, offering tastings of wheat-based products, including bruschetta, stuffed pitta, taralli with fennel and chilli, focaccia and Bivongi wine. On 4 August, at 7.30 pm, there will be a parade of floats and tractors, followed by the blessing of the wheat.
Event details
At 8.30 pm, visitors will be able to sample the traditional dish ‘Pasta e casa do mietituri’, whilst at 9.30 pm the evening will continue with a concert by the band ‘I Peddaroti’. At midnight, the festival will draw to a close with a cake in the square and a final toast.
