City by Bike

On 3 August 2026, at 7.00 pm, Locri ’s seafront will host ‘City by Bike’, an event dedicated to sustainable transport, environmental protection and the promotion of an active lifestyle. The initiative, which forms part of the town’s summer programme and is linked to the 2026 Green Flag award, invites children, families and residents to experience the local area in a new way, through a cycle ride taking in the sea, the countryside and urban spaces. The route will start from the southern end of the seafront, continue northwards and return to the starting point. An opportunity to spend an evening in the open air, promoting respect for the environment and sustainable transport.

Event details

During the event, issues such as safety, the quality of spaces dedicated to children and the enhancement of the local area will also be addressed. The ‘Diritto per la Vita’ Environmental Observatory will support the initiative with environmental awareness activities and the distribution of water to participants.
