From August 23 to 28, 2026, the Terme Sibarite in Cassano all'Ionio will host the Astro Summer Camp, Missione3’s summer school dedicated to astrophysics and the exploration of the universe. Aimed at high school students in their junior and senior years, the camp offers an immersive program featuring lectures, hands-on activities, and opportunities to engage with international researchers. The experience also includes a visit to the University of Calabria, where participants will have the chance to explore the laboratories and facilities dedicated to scientific research.

Event details

Throughout the week, participants will explore some of the major themes in contemporary astrophysics: from the origin of the universe to the search for exoplanets, and on to the study of black holes, stars, and space missions. Alongside theoretical insights, the program features hands-on experiments and opportunities for discussion, allowing participants to experience science in a direct and engaging way.
